Reminiscing Bday's

Finally, we celebrated Ms.Vekali 's first bday . We arranged a small party for the little one at Shilton Royale on May 8th 2010. It was a warm cosy party amidst family and few close friends. Tashu's Uppoppa, Ummoma, Ammama, Kunjhu Mama, Ichu , Pappu, Meow meow mama , Sushie mee, Stud Faisal &  his Punj buddy Viren , Laxmi and hubby ( :) ) , My cousin Manee , Romi aunty and Mamman , Sharma mama , Suresh Uncle, Vj n the Audi guy ( :) ).... It was fun. Tashu's papa gifted her a super cool police trike. The girl  loves it. The " adventure streak " genes inherited from her mum! ;)

Bday's and the happiness around it. The first birthday of mine that I can remember is,  papa standing right behind me, the confetti hanging around the white washed wall, a small plum cake on the brown broad plywood table and surrounded by shorties of my height. Birthdays ( till some age ) make you feel special. My graduation , post graduation and pennyless bdays in blore was spent with Rahul n Ranju. My UFO buddies. They made it a point to meet me up on my bday no matter what happens. I remember us ganging up in MG Road and roaming around the place like Nomads and laughing like crazy! :) Aww, Nostalgia hitting the roof..

Neej's first bday with me was a simple one. Having just 20 bucks in your pocket was not really a "happening" thing when someone says they want to spend their birthday with you. Back then, my impression on Nee was a quiet nice shy guy who dint even know where MG road is after months of tenure in Bangalore. Its funny and a lame gift, but I  took him for a tour from Indira Nagar to Koramangala and back from Koramangala to IN. The normally fully packed "201 " was empty except  two or three people on that saturday.  That is/was the only time I saw that bus so vacant. Since then we have celebrated many birthdays together and I have brought him gifts, some expensive some not so expensive. But the first one remains my favourite.

Birthdays are those days that make you feel special, because you have your family and friends calling you up, wishing you the best. Sometimes it is not about gifts or parties. It is more about people who love you...who tries to make you happy the best way they can. I am happy my lil girl enjoyed the attention and the fun.. I could see her smiling and enjoying to the hilt...And I hope she continues to do so, as years pass by....

PS: Missed Cisha and her beautiful gublu bublu lakshmikutty, Ranju n Tej, AnjuKanjoos, Nav,  prdp and few nephews in thalasserry who wouldnt have come anyways.
